Ollie Bearman has added a new line to his career off the track, opening a bike shop with an integrated cafe above Monaco alongside a small group of friends. The 21 year old Haas driver revealed the venture on the Beyond the Grid podcast, describing it simply as a passion project rather than a business he expects to define him.
The shop sits in one of the popular cycling areas above the principality, serving coffee, banana bread and cakes made by its own owners alongside the usual bike shop trade. Bearman was candid about his own limits as a taste tester, admitting that cyclists are notoriously particular about their coffee even though he does not much enjoy the drink himself. He was considerably more confident about the baking, saying the shop's cakes were something he was genuinely proud of.
Bearman moved to Monaco in 2025 at age 19, the same year he stepped into his second season in Formula 1 with Haas after coming through Ferrari's driver academy. He is still widely regarded as a candidate to eventually succeed Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari, even as he spends this season working through the midfield with Haas rather than competing at the front of the grid.
The bike shop gives Bearman a low key project entirely separate from the pressure of a Formula 1 paddock, run with friends rather than sponsors, in a city better known for its Grand Prix than its cycling cafes. For a driver still building his career at the sport's top level, it is a small, deliberately modest venture that asks nothing more of him than good coffee and better cake.
