Aviation Day 2026 at Gorna Oryahovitsa Airport on 17 October gave local spectators an unusual view of international aviation.
Austrian manufacturer Diamond Aircraft made its first official presentation in Bulgaria, with three aircraft on display and three Austrian pilots participating in aerial demonstrations.

The airport hosted the event with municipal support. Strategic partners included Diamond Aircraft and Range Rover, while Drustar Consulting and TouchPoint contributed to organisation. The forum combined flying displays with business networking, introducing the airport to potential aviation and investment partners.

Silvia Djagarova and Magazine Banker Special also formed part of the event’s wider network, adding a media and lifestyle perspective to an occasion built around international partnerships. The appearance was more than a product demonstration. It placed a regional airport in a wider conversation about training, general aviation, mobility and the economic future of Northern Bulgaria.

The official programme brought together aviation, tourism and lifestyle in a deliberate way. Galina Raycheva of the National Tourism Board and TouchPoint was among the prominent figures, alongside Antoni Tarnitsov of the airport board and Todor Ivandzhikov of the Bulgarian Aviation Industry Association. The gathering also welcomed representatives of the German Embassy and Lieutenant Colonel Plamen Krastev with aviation cadets.

Its partner ecosystem extended well beyond the headline aircraft manufacturer. The published list named Drustar Consulting, TouchPoint, Travel & Lifestyle, LABOR8, Lacrima, Frezco, Frezkoliada, Oliver Weber, Arrivo Premium Transfers, BNK, artist Mika Sav and the National Tourism Board.
Each contributed a different business or cultural dimension to the programme.
