# Verdict on Monaco Grand Prix Podium Appeal Expected Within Two to Three Weeks

Formula One's international court of appeal met behind closed doors in Paris on Tuesday to hear the dispute over third place at the Monaco Grand Prix, run on June 7. The FIA said judges are expected to reach a decision within two to three weeks.

The dispute centres on Alpine driver Pierre Gasly, who finished third in Monaco before being demoted to seventh after the race when stewards applied two five second penalties for pit lane speeding. Red Bull's Isack Hadjar was then promoted to third.

That decision was overturned on June 12, after stewards accepted evidence from Alpine of a timekeeping error and removed the penalties, restoring Gasly to the podium at Hadjar's expense. Red Bull and McLaren lodged appeals against that reversal on June 16, keeping Monaco's official classification under scrutiny.

Pending the appeal court's decision, Gasly remains officially classified third, with Hadjar fourth and Oscar Piastri fifth.
