UBS has brought its Women's Investment Circle to Monaco, extending a financial education programme already running in the UK, Australia and the United States to the principality's own client base. The format is structured rather than a one off talk, seven sessions moving from the basics of understanding women as investors through to the importance of investing early, with the final session focused on putting the material into practice through asset and tactical allocation strategies.

The programme's premise is explicitly designed for women, by women, built around the idea that women weighing investment decisions often want a different kind of room than a standard client seminar provides, one built around peers facing similar questions rather than a generic audience. UBS has cited internal figures showing women now make up close to 45 percent of its client base in some regions, treating the Monaco launch as scaling to match where its own clientele already sits rather than a niche add on.

The bank's own research is doing some of the persuading here. UBS has pointed to findings that women who do engage actively with investing often outperform their male counterparts once they start, and that women investors tend to prioritise holistic, trust based advice over transactional relationships with a wealth manager, a preference the seven session format is built to accommodate rather than rush past.

Monaco is not the programme's final stop. UBS has flagged further expansion across Europe and Latin America following the Monaco launch, positioning the principality's own wealthy, highly international client base as one proving ground among several rather than a one off market the bank happened to reach first.
