Monte Carlo Societe des Bains de Mer has renewed its partnership with Be Safe Monaco for a third consecutive year, once again supplying professional drivers to run the association's free night time shuttle through the peak of summer. The service operates from July 1 to August 31, 2026, running Wednesday through Sunday between midnight and 5.30am, the exact hours when a casino resort's own restaurants, bars and clubs are busiest and a taxi is hardest to find.
The shuttle itself is electric and free of charge, ferrying guests from Monaco's restaurants, bars and nightlife venues to destinations across the principality rather than requiring anyone to arrange their own transport home after an evening out. Since SBM joined the initiative in 2024, the shuttle has carried 741 people home safely across two summers, 355 in 2024 and 386 in 2025, a tally that reads less like a pilot programme at this point than a fixture of how the principality expects its nightlife to wind down.
Be Safe Monaco itself has worked since 2017 to reduce the risks tied to drink driving and to make safer travel after a night out the easier option rather than the more expensive or less convenient one. This year's renewal was signed by Stephane Valeri, deputy chairman of Monte Carlo Societe des Bains de Mer, and Camille Gottlieb, formalising a relationship between the principality's largest hospitality operator and a road safety association that predates SBM's own involvement by seven years.
None of this changes what draws people to Monaco's casino and club scene in the first place, the tables, the terraces, the late dinners that run past midnight. What a free, unglamorous shuttle running until half past five in the morning does change is what happens after, and a third consecutive summer of the same partnership suggests both sides consider that quieter half of the night worth investing in as much as the visible one.
