Princess Charlene of Monaco made a rare public appearance on Saturday, October 4, at the Pink Ribbon Monaco gala held at the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo. The 48 year old princess was joined by her brother Gareth Wittstock, who is likewise rarely seen at the principality's official events.

For the occasion, the princess wore an all white Emporio Armani suit paired with black heels and diamond drop earrings. Gareth Wittstock wore a tuxedo finished with a pink bow tie in a nod to the evening's theme.

Together, the brother and sister lit up Place du Casino in pink to mark the launch of Pink October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Monegasque palace confirmed that twenty four buildings across the principality would be illuminated in pink throughout the month.

Princess Charlene has served as Honorary President of Pink Ribbon Monaco since 2024, supporting research and prevention efforts around female cancers. Her brother Gareth, a computer scientist and businessman, moved to Monaco after Charlene's marriage to Prince Albert in 2011. He now serves as Secretary General of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, which promotes water safety for children, and keeps close ties with his cousins Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella. He is also father to two daughters with his wife, Roisin Galvin.
