The Monaco Yacht Show returns from September 23 to 26, 2026 at Port Hercule for its 35th edition, with an expanded tenders offering, a redesigned design area, new digital tools and a programme bringing together yachts, cars and art. With 118 superyachts on display, including several megayachts over 100 metres, the scale remains significant, representing 4.2 billion euros in floating assets.

Speaking to Riviera Radio, Toby Moore, CEO of Informa Prestige, explains that the focus is increasingly on the experience around the yacht rather than the vessel alone. At Port Hercule, the Tenders and Adventure area has been expanded across Quai Jarlan and Quai Antoine Ier, with around 60 custom tenders on display, a change that reflects a wider shift in how owners use their tenders, increasingly seen as tools for exploration rather than simply accessories.

The show is also looking beyond the yacht itself. Top Marques Monaco brings cars and art into the same environment, reflecting the way many ultra high net worth clients move between different areas of luxury and collecting. The former Yacht Design and Innovation Hub has also been reworked as the Designer Gallery: static models have been replaced by more immersive, dialogue driven spaces, including the MYS Immersive Experience by VBH, where visitors can explore future yacht concepts and customise interiors before construction.

The visitor experience has also been given greater attention. The Upper Deck Lounge has been expanded, with fine dining, luxury brands and the Prestige Lounge creating a more private environment for clients. The Prestige VIP programme offers curated itineraries, airport transfers, concierge services and early access, while a new MYS app allows visitors to navigate the show in real time and arrange meetings. The BOAT Lounge will also host live podcasts and expert panels in collaboration with BOAT International.

For Moore, these changes are part of a broader move toward what he describes as proof over promises. The second year of Blue Wake brings together 60 exhibitors assessed against rigorous criteria, with the initiative now extending beyond shipyards to include brokerage and yacht management. The underlying idea is that technology and data should make the experience simpler rather than more complicated, while greater transparency gives clients better information when making decisions.

Moore does not see these developments as a departure from the show's foundations: Monaco's long standing concentration of shipyards, designers, craftsmen and engineers remains central to its position in the superyacht industry. "My role is not to change the foundations but to grow those and to explore where we can do better," he says. The next step comes in spring 2027, with The Future of Refit scheduled for March 31 to April 2 at the Grimaldi Forum and Yacht Club de Monaco Marina, extending the conversation from new builds to the longer term life of a yacht.
