The Monaco Yacht Show is introducing a new Designer Gallery for its 2026 edition, replacing the former Yacht Design and Innovation Hub with a unified platform that brings the industry's design studios together in a single continuous layout within the show's Dockside Area. More than a dozen naval architecture and design houses are confirmed to take part, including Pininfarina, Espen Oeino International, Philippe Briand and VPLP Design, giving charter clients and industry visitors a concentrated stretch of the show dedicated purely to design rather than finished vessels.
Sitting alongside the new gallery is the MYS Immersive Experience by VBH, which lets visitors take three dimensional virtual tours of yachts without stepping aboard, and SENSE by VBH, a 360 degree installation built around sound, light and scent to demonstrate what onboard technology can actually feel like in use rather than simply describe it on a spec sheet.
The additions arrive as the show marks its 35th anniversary, having run annually in Port Hercule since 1991. This year's edition runs from September 23 to 26, with more than 100 superyachts expected in the harbour itself and further vessels, some exceeding 100 metres, anchored out in the Bay of Monaco for visitors to view.
For an event that has always leaned on the sheer scale of the yachts docked in Port Hercule to make its case, dedicating a permanent gallery to the design studios behind them is a deliberate shift toward the process rather than just the finished product, giving charter clients a more direct way to compare the thinking behind competing yachts before ever stepping aboard one.
