# Monaco's Foreign Minister Visits Kyiv to Meet Her Ukrainian Counterpart

Monaco's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Isabelle Berro-Amadei, travelled to Kyiv on Tuesday, September 15 to meet her Ukrainian counterpart, Andrii Sybiha. During her visit, she also paid tribute at the Memory Wall of Fallen Defenders of Ukraine in the capital.

The trip is part of a relationship Monaco has maintained with Ukraine since the start of the conflict, with the principality repeatedly condemning the Russian invasion while reaffirming its status as a politically and militarily neutral state. Isabelle Berro-Amadei has previously said that neutrality rules out any use of force, without stopping Monaco from providing humanitarian and financial support to Kyiv.

The principality funds the Council of Europe's action plan for Ukraine, titled Resilience, Recovery and Reconstruction and covering the period 2023 to 2026, and has joined the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children, set up to help repatriate minors displaced since the war began.
