Marjorie Crovetto, a Monaco deputy mayor since 2007, addressed voters directly in a public letter on Friday, October 16, more than three months after formally declaring her candidacy for the April 2027 municipal election. Crovetto will lead the Evolution Communale slate, which she says will bring in a largely renewed group of running mates built around competence and a shared commitment to strengthening ties within the community, though a date for the slate's official presentation has not yet been set.

In the letter, Crovetto paid tribute to her years working alongside outgoing mayor Georges Marsan and acknowledged Anne-Marie Campora, Monaco's first female mayor, before setting out her own pitch. "I have decided to dedicate myself to serving you, with the ambition of working together to shape City Hall's major projects for the years ahead," she wrote, adding that she intends to carry that legacy forward with a rigorous approach and an unwavering focus on efficiency.

Her priorities, as laid out in the letter, span much of what falls under the municipality's remit, from early childhood services and support for young people to care for seniors, resident services, cultural programming and public events. She described her ambition as "a bold City Hall that every Monegasque can take ever greater pride in," paired with a Communal Council she wants to see working as a team, "far removed from personal agendas and driven solely by the public interest, with a clear and transparent sense of direction."

The race is not yet fully formed. Fellow elected official Jacques Pastor, a member of the Marsan majority, remains the only figure in that camp who has not publicly backed Crovetto's bid, though he has stopped short of announcing a mayoral campaign of his own. With roughly six months before the slate's formal unveiling, Crovetto's letter functions as an early marker in a municipal race that is expected to sharpen considerably before voters go to the polls in April 2027.
